Collection: Michter's

Michter's is an American whiskey company best known for its rye and bourbon whiskeys. Though Michter's has its origins in 18th-century Pennsylvania, it now operates two distilleries in Kentucky. Michter's main distillery is in Shively, Kentucky, just outside of Louisville, while Fort Nelson Distillery is in the heart of the city. The latter actually houses the historic stills of the old Michter's Distillery in Pennsylvania, which closed on Valentine's Day 1990. Joe Magliocco, CEO of Chatham Imports and Chairman of Michter's Whiskey, is credited with reviving the Michter's whiskey brand. He discovered that the Michter's brand had already been abandoned in the 1990's when he was looking for a rye whiskey brand to add to his portfolio; the rest is history!
