Shenk's Homestead Release 2023
Shenk's Homestead Distillery Sour Mash Whiskey pays tribute to the legacy of John Shenk, a historic American whiskey exponent. Shenk founded a distillery in 1753 that became known as Michter's in the 20th century. This whiskey is made in Kentucky using the traditional sour mash process, in which a portion of the previously distilled whiskey mash grounds (also called "setback") is added to the next batch. The result is a full-bodied small-batch whiskey with an alcohol content of 91.2% vol.
