Michter's has released a special whiskey to honor the legacy of John Shenk, who opened his first distillery in Pennsylvania in 1753. Developed for many generations by the Bomberger family and distilled using traditional sour mash methods, this distinctive, honey-sweet Kentucky whiskey is characterized by exciting flavors such as orange peel, minty spices and balanced smoky tones and offers an unforgettable drinking experience.
Michter's continues to set the bar high for quality Kentucky whiskey with the Shenk's Homestead Release. This full-bodied and smooth sour mash whiskey is made from a high proportion of rye and, thanks to aging in Chinquapin oak barrels, is complemented by a deep flavor profile with intense caramel notes and dried fruit.
