The Waterford Hook Head Edition 1.1 is an exceptional whiskey that is characterized by the unique terroir of the southern Irish coastal region of Waterford. The barley for this whiskey is grown on the clay soils derived from Elton Series limestone that grow right at the foot of Hook Head Lighthouse. Due to its close proximity to the raging Atlantic and the constant exposure to strong storms, salty sea mists and oceanic breezes, this region is an extremely maritime terroir.
The Waterford Hook Head Edition 1.1 is the result of years of careful work and a deep commitment to quality. The barley is grown by Martin Foley on his farm and then precisely handcrafted by the Waterford distillery. The single malt whiskey matures in first-class oak barrels and develops its unique character.
