Stauning Smoke
In 2005, nine friends set out to create whiskey with a distinctive Danish character. Driven by passion and curiosity, they built a legendary whiskey distillery where local grains are malted and 24 small copper stills are lit.
With this "Smoke" Stauning creates a single malt made from regional barley malt, which is smoked over an exquisite mixture of local heather and peat. The gentle and pleasant smoke comes from the heathland and embodies the essence of the west coast of Denmark - a truly local whiskey .
