Stauning Dirty Bastard Rye
The Stauning Dirty Bastard Rye is undoubtedly a unique whiskey. The triple maturation of the single rye whiskey takes it to the next level. During the initial maturation, the whiskey was stored in American Virgin Oak barrels for three to four years. It was then aged for six to twelve months in mezcal casks from the Mexican manufacturer Oro de Oaxaca. The whiskey was then refined for a further six to twelve months in Hot Chocolate Imperial Stout barrels from the Danish craft brewery “To ØI”.
The result is a full-bodied and multi-faceted whiskey with a unique flavor profile. In the nose it develops a play of aromas of grain, cinnamon, cocoa and tobacco. The palate reveals notes of dark chocolate and vanilla, roasted nuts and chili as well as dark beer, hops and roasted malt. The combination of sweet and spicy flavors makes the Stauning Dirty Bastard Rye a special experience for the palate.
