Lochlea Fallow Edition 2nd Crop

This year's Lochlea Fallow Edition 2nd Crop is an exceptional whiskey that shows the characteristic style of Lochlea 's seasonal releases in a new interpretation. A carefully balanced mashbill made from Scottish barley was used for this bottling. After gentle distillation twice, the whiskey matured in a combination of carefully selected Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks.

The Oloroso barrels, often made of American oak, give the whiskey intense notes of creamy Manuka honey and light syrup. They provide a sweet base note with vanilla and dried fruits. The Pedro Ximénez barrels, mostly made of European oak, contribute a layer of spicy and sweet aromas. There are notes of ginger candy, dark chocolate and ground coffee beans.
