Laphroaig 18 years of Darkness
The Laphroaig 18 Years is a limited bottling from Atom Brands and part of the Darkness series. This single malt whiskey from the Scottish region of Islay was stored in oak barrels for a full 18 years and then matured for at least three months in small Pedro Ximenez Sherry Octave casks.
This special refinement created a unique variety of aromas, which complements the characteristic smoky notes of Laphroaig with full-bodied, fruity sweetness. In addition to medicinal and maritime notes, wonderfully dark fruity and spicy profiles are convincing. Only 108 bottles of this limited edition are available, which are bottled in natural color and do not require chill filtration.
