Kilchoman 100% Islay Release 2023 The 13th Edition
Kilchoman 's 100% Islay 13th Edition is a unique and exquisite bottling made exclusively from barley grown on the island of Islay. The whiskey was distilled from the 2012, 2013 and 2014 harvests and then aged for a minimum of eight years in a total of 44 bourbon barrels previously used by the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Kentucky, USA.
What is particularly noteworthy is that Master Distiller and Kilchoman founder Anthony Wills has used exclusively bourbon barrels for the first time in this edition. Above all, fresh barrels were chosen, which gives the whiskey a wonderful butter-vanilla note as well as caramel aromas that harmonize perfectly with the citrus-like sweetness of the spirit.
