GlenWyvis 2018/2024 1st Fill Oloroso Single Cask
The GlenWyvis 2018/2024 is a single cask bottling from Scotland's Highlands that was produced exclusively for the German market. A special feature of this Highland Single Malt Scotch Whiskey is the use of local barley and a long fermentation of around 96 hours. The distillation took place in small pot stills that are powered exclusively by renewable energy.
After distillation, the raw spirit of GlenWyvis 2018/2024 matured for five years in a first fill Oloroso Sherry Butt, which gives it a fruity, malty scent. The taste is characterized by a pleasant sweetness that combines with a hint of sherry. It was bottled with a remarkable cask strength of 61.5% vol., which gives the whiskey an unmistakable intensity.
