Glen Scotia 9 Years Campbeltown Malts Festival 2024
This whisky was matured for nine years in first fill bourbon barrels before being finished for six months in the most exclusive Fino Sherry casks. The Fino Sherry casks give the malt fresh, floral notes of citrus and bright fruit that blend perfectly with the sharp wood notes. The whisky is bottled at cask strength at 56.2% ABV to ensure that each glass is rich in flavour and aroma.
The combination of bourbon and fino sherry casks as well as the cask strength give the Glen Scotia 9 Years Campbeltown Malts Festival 2024 a unique aroma and taste profile. The nose is greeted by fresh citrus and white fruit notes, followed by a hint of oak spice. The palate unfolds a rich texture with notes of honey, vanilla and caramel that combine perfectly with the floral and fruity notes. The long, balanced finish is characterized by a subtle maritime note and saltiness that reflects the essence of Campbeltown.
