The Aberlour 16 Year Old Double Cask Matured is an excellent single malt whiskey from Aberlour, which, thanks to its careful maturation in American oak and sherry casks, achieves a perfect balance between sweet, fruity and spicy nuances. This whiskey is the successor to the older 16-year-old Aberlour whiskey and is now part of the core range of this traditional brand.
The scent of the Aberlour 16 Year Old Double Cask Matured reveals its rich floral notes paired with subtle hints of raisins, herbs and nuts. This aroma flows seamlessly into a smooth and full-bodied palate that brings more floral notes to the fore. Sweet nuances also come into play, which are skilfully rounded off by spices and oak wood.
