The US TTB database presents the latest bottlings of the Octomore series. There are three new bottlings in total, with Octomore 15.1 and Octomore 15.2 showing a peated content of 108.2 PPM on the label. The former bottling contains 59.1% vol. alcohol and the latter slightly more at 57.9%.
But the Octomore 15.3 stands out with a whopping 307.2 ppm . It was produced on the Octomore Farm in the immediate vicinity of the distillery and contains an alcohol content of 61.3%. This exceptional content should particularly please peatheads, although the ppm This information alone does not necessarily provide information about the actual peat content of the final product.
Nevertheless, it is more likely that the Octomore bottle has the label "super heavily peated" on it for a reason. The new bottlings are another highlight in the history of high-quality Scottish whiskies and will certainly delight many connoisseurs.
