Tullibardine 15 years
Tullibardine has a long, majestic history dating back to the 15th century when it was a place of brewing and distilling. It is in Blackford, the gateway to the Scottish Highlands. In 1488, on his return journey from his coronation at Scone Palace, King James IV of Scotland stopped here to make the first public purchase of beer from the local brewery. In 1947 the brewery was converted into a whiskey distillery and was named Tullibardine, which means 'lookout hill' in Gaelic. After a long period of production, Tullibardine lay dormant from 1994 to 2003 when it reopened as a traditional highland distillery.
This 15 year old single malt whiskey was distilled after reopening, matured in bourbon casks and was bottled without chill filtration and without coloring.
