Tomatin 12 Years Italian Collection Barolo Edition
We present to you the Tomatin 12 Years Italian Collection Barolo Edition, the third part of this exquisite collection. Set to be released on September 5, 2023, this single malt Scotch whiskey has been aged to perfection in Barolo wine casks and offers a unique and rich flavor profile.
Upon uncorking you are greeted by lovely aromas of mulled wine and dark chocolate, followed by a palate full of spicy mead with notes of cranberries and a refreshing hint of grapefruit. The finish is long and satisfying, with light tannins and a subtle sweetness reminiscent of sugared almonds.
The Tomatin 12 Years Italian Collection Barolo Edition was distilled on December 6, 2010 and then aged in traditional oak barrels for a decade. It was then transferred to Barolo wine barrels on February 10, 2021, where it rested for another two years to allow the spirit to fully absorb the wine's distinct aromas and textures. This meticulous process results in a truly exceptional whiskey that will impress even the most demanding palates.
