Tomatin 12 Years Italian Collection Amarone Edition
The Tomatin 12 Years Italian Collection Amarone Edition is part of the exquisite Italian Collection and was matured in Amarone wine barrels. This unique whiskey offers an aromatic experience with notes of poached pears, traditional rhubarb and vanilla candies and strawberry jam, accompanied by Turkish honey and light butter pastry on the palate. The rich finish is characterized by cinnamon-spiced red apples.
This special drop was distilled on December 6th, 2010, transferred to Amarone wine barrels on February 10th, 2021 and bottled on June 5th, 2023. The Italian Collection whiskeys were each aged for 10 years in traditional Scotch whiskey oak casks before being decanted into Marsala, Amarone and Barolo wine casks for a further 2 years.
