With an alcohol content of 42.3 vol% and a limited edition of only 187 bottles, it is a rare jewel for every collector and enthusiast.

The Lowlands region from which this noble drop comes is known for its elegant and smooth whiskeys, which have a sweet character due to the use of corn or wheat as the basis for the mashbill. The Strathclyde 28 Year Old Grainhound is no exception as the nose reveals a fruity-vinous aroma followed by summer rain, pineapple, rum raisins, honey sweetness, mango, vanilla, cookie dough, coconut and dried flowers.

On the palate it is smooth and oily with aromas of rum-soaked raisins, molasses and light fruit, giving way to crème brûlée, coconut macaroons, ripe peaches and grapes. The finish is medium-length, with notes of brandy pralines, cocoa powder, oak spice and apple cores that leave the palate slightly dry.
