Slyrs Single Cask Ex Peat Cask
Slyrs Single Malt Whiskey has been crafted with care and precision using only the finest ingredients. The double distillation results in a whiskey that is both full-bodied and delicate in taste thanks to the real Bavarian barley grain; it is aged for two years before being transferred to New American Oak casks (which give it a rich colour), followed by four more years of aging in ex-peat casks - the latter adding an extra dimension of sweetness to this particular brew that you won't find anywhere else!
Tasting Notes
The taste of this single malt begins on the nose with sweet mountain honey, apricot jelly and caramelized walnuts. Powerful yet delicate on the first sip, increasing in strength over the long finish, with spicy notes and hints of vanilla from coniferous wood and salty sea air. Light, dry campfire flavors are also evident before quickly disappearing behind small spikes of dried fruit , which create an everlasting feeling of warmth throughout the body after drinking a glass.
