The Secret Speyside 2009/2024 is an outstanding single malt whisky that embodies the essence of the Scottish whisky tradition. This exclusive bottling was created especially for the German market and comes from an independent distillery that has been rooted in the picturesque Speyside region for more than 150 years. The characteristic maturation in two first fill Oloroso sherry butts gives this whisky an unmistakable depth and complexity.
With a strong alcohol content of 57.8% vol., the Secret Speyside unfolds an intense taste experience that will delight both newcomers and experienced whisky lovers. The noble Oloroso casks, which were previously filled with a smooth, nutty Oloroso, have given the whisky a rich aroma.
The nose reveals sweet malt aromas that blend harmoniously with the scent of dried apricots and a gentle smoky note. A complex flavor profile unfolds on the palate: the sweetness of raisins meets the tart, yet seductive aromas of orange peel covered in dark chocolate. This combination of fruity and chocolatey nuances is complemented by powerful roasted aromas that give the whisky an additional dimension.
