The Scapa 21 Years Orkney is an exquisite single malt whisky from the renowned Scapa distillery, located on the picturesque Orkney Islands of Scotland. This limited edition is only produced once a year and is characterized by its cask strength of 52.9% ABV, which gives it an impressive intensity.
The aroma unfolds from the very first bouquet and delights with homemade apricot jam, which is harmoniously combined with fresh raspberries. The ripe bananas and fluffy whipped cream give the fragrance a seductive sweetness. The olfactory experience is rounded off by subtle notes of aromatic oak and a hint of nutmeg, which add a pleasant warmth and complexity.
On the palate, the Scapa 21 Years unfolds a rich flavour profile that envelops freshly picked peaches and juicy mangos in a velvety vanilla cream and sweetened condensed milk. The fine sprinkles of shortbread, spiced with cardamom and cinnamon, add an additional dimension to the taste experience and ensure a wonderful balance between sweetness and spicy notes.
