The latest addition to this acclaimed collection features the signature of Midleton's Master Distiller, Kevin O'Gorman. After months of exploration, O'Gorman created a balanced blend of rare and handpicked single pot still and single grain Irish whiskeys from Midleton's exclusive inventory to create this truly special release.
Matured in slightly charred ex- Bourbon American oak casks, the Midleton Very Rare 2023 Vintage Release delights with decadent flavors and a seductive scent. The aroma, flavor and finish of this whiskey will enliven the palate of both novice and seasoned whiskey collectors and take them on an exciting journey of taste.
Tasting Notes:
Initially wonderful with juicy fruits and a pronounced creaminess as well as a herbal note, similar to chamomile tea. The spices of the still add depth and excitement as they weave between floral cereal notes that linger. The influence of the charred wood increases over time, adding complexity as wood-derived spices complement the ubiquitous fruit of candied oranges and dried apricots.
