Meikle Tòir The Original
Meikle Tòir The Original is a unique whiskey created with an ambitious goal: to create a peated Speyside single malt that is second to none. The GlenAllachie distillery relies on extensive maturation of the whiskey in bourbon and rye barrels as well as American Virgin Oak barrels. This combination creates a complex aroma profile with notes of baking spices, roasted honey and sweet peat smoke.
The Meikle Tòir The Original impresses with a smoky note with a phenol content (ppm) of 35. However, it is not as heavily peaty as whiskeys from Islay, but harmoniously combines the smoky aromas with the sweet balance of Speyside . The name Meikle Tòir itself stands for a great mission, which the distillery and its renowned industry veteran Billy Walker have also achieved - a complex and high-quality single malt that delights not only fans of smoky whiskeys, but also gourmets.
