The Speymalt from Macallan Distillery 1998/2024, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail, is an exquisite rarity from the renowned Speyside region of Scotland. This single malt, distilled in 1998 and bottled in 2024 in a limited edition of just 338 bottles , is characterized by an impressive cask strength of 53.2% vol.

The maturation in Sherry Cask No. 21603912 has given the whisky its extraordinary depth and complexity. A lush play of aromas unfolds on the nose, initially characterized by sweet vanilla and delicate toffee notes. These aromas harmonize perfectly with the fruity accents of dried figs and sultanas, which significantly influence the character of the whisky.

On the palate, the Speymalt reveals a fascinating complexity. Fruity nuances of raspberries and Seville oranges emerge and give the drinker a feeling of sunny, sweet moments. A subtle spiciness of anise complements the taste profile and provides a certain tension.
