Kilchoman 2010/2024 Bourbon Cask 2 479/2010
For the 50th anniversary of the Hanseatic Wine Trading Company, six exceptional and previously unpublished
Kilchoman casks “Sister Casks” were selected and released as “One-of-a-Kind” editions to mark the anniversary. These single casks were personally selected by
Peter Wills and Stephan Ehmke selected the wines in the distillery's barrel cellar in order to highlight the distillery's absolute special features.
For comparison, another 2 bottlings from 1st Fill Bourbon sister casks. Both casks were distilled on September 9th, 2010 and bottled on February 5th, 2024. You simply have to try both casks in comparison. This is the 2nd sister cask of the 13 year old 1st Fill Bourbon casks, paired with cask 478/2010 . The complete series includes 2x Oloroso Sherry sister casks, 2x 1st Fill Bourbon and 2x 100% Islay . The bottling was peated with 50ppm and is therefore very smoky.
This is not a finish, it is a 13 year old 1st Fill Bourbon fully matured.
