Invergordon 18 Years Single Grain
The Invergordon 18 year old is an outstanding example of Scottish whisky art, which impresses with its impressive complexity and depth. This fine distillate was distilled on September 14th, 2006 and matured in a carefully selected refill bourbon cask before being finished for 1012 days in a 1st fill Moscatel barrique. With an alcohol content of 56.6% ABV, this grain whisky is presented at its natural cask strength, with each sip reflecting the unadulterated essence of maturation.
A fascinating range of flavours opens up on the palate. A subtle hint of nail polish introduces the first impression, which quickly turns into lively herbal candy notes. The sweet character emerges again in the form of airy cake batter, which is infused with juicy rum raisins and delicate coconut flakes. The seductive note of truffle pralines adds a decadent chocolateiness that harmonises in perfect symbiosis with the spicy accents. A fruity freshness unfolds through the combination of ripe pineapple, sweet banana and tangy raspberry soda, while the finish takes on a deliciously creamy note through the taste of Danish pastries with vanilla custard.
