The Inchgower Single Malt Scotch Whisky, part of the "Animals of Scotland" series, is a 14 year old whisky, distilled on November 15, 2010 and bottled on November 18, 2024. It was bottled in a limited series of 236 bottles, with a strong drinking strength of 56.3% ABV. The whisky matured in a 2nd Fill Ex-Staoisha Malaga Cask (cask number 812842). The nose reveals complex aromas of sweet raisins and creamy vanilla, accompanied by fruity sour cherry, nutty hazelnuts and a hint of pickled ginger, while a warm apple crumble and a subtle, burnt wood note add depth. The palate presents a spicy and woody first impression with prominent peppery notes, supported by fruity sweetness reminiscent of freshly baked raisin buns, complemented by the buttery character of brioche and the freshness of iced tea. The finish is long and dry-fruity, with lingering aromas of raisins and dried fruit, leaving behind a subtle spice and woodiness.
