The Glenlivet 2007/2024 - Archangel No.4 is an outstanding Speyside single malt Scotch whisky that impresses with its 17-year maturation and an impressive cask strength of 64.7% vol. This exquisite bottling comes from the renowned house of Signatory Vintage and is the oldest and strongest variant in the Archangel series.
Maturation took place in three first fill Oloroso sherry butts, which give the whisky remarkable depth and complexity. The use of first fill casks is crucial to the development of the flavour profile, as they give the Glenlivet rich flavours and an intense colour that is characteristic of sherry cask-matured whiskies.
The first sip reveals a powerful structure that delights with full-bodied flavors. The fruity elements are accompanied by a subtle sweetness, while the nutty and chocolate components create a harmonious balance.
