With an alcohol content of 57.1% vol., this whisky offers an intense and powerful experience. The use of first fill Oloroso sherry butts and bourbon hogsheads during cask maturation ensures a harmonious combination of sweet, fruity aromas and the typical smoky note that makes Caol Ila so famous. The use of first fill sherry casks gives the whisky complex flavor nuances and a deeper color intensity, while the bourbon casks enhance the vanilla and caramel notes.
