Bruichladdich 18 years
The Bruichladdich Eighteen is an outstanding creation from the Scottish distillery Bruichladdich, which is based exclusively on the island of Islay. The whisky was matured for 18 years in ex-bourbon casks and a small number of wine casks to embody the authentic Bruichladdich house style. This long maturation period has helped to make the whisky full-bodied and beautifully fragrant, with notes of honey, caramel and citrus fruits on the nose.
The range of flavours in Bruichladdich Eighteen is very impressive. On the palate there is a mixture of tropical fruits and toasted, soft oak. The soft toasted oak provides a subtle sweetness that harmonises well with the spicy notes.
The Bruichladdich distillery is famous for its distinctive single malt whiskies, all of which are handcrafted and of the highest quality.
