The Bladnoch 13 Year Old Bourbon Cask is an outstanding example of the art of whisky distilling and represents a remarkable continuation of the popular Bladnoch series. This whisky is 100% matured in carefully selected ex-bourbon casks, giving it a multifaceted flavor structure. Despite the official age statement of 13 years, the bottling combines distillates that are up to 15 years old, as the distillery was closed for two years 13 years ago. This conscious decision to declare the whisky younger contributes to the creation of a Heritage Collection that honors the tradition and history of the distillery.
On the palate, the whisky presents itself with the typical Bladnoch aromas, which create a harmonious combination of hay and fresh grass. These earthy notes are elegantly complemented by the freshness of crisp apples and a selection of tropical fruits. The subtle spiciness adds an additional dimension to the experience, stimulating both curiosity and the senses.
