This exquisite creation is the result of the careful marriage of single malt whisky , which was first bottled in classic, hand-crafted oak barrels, followed by a unique maturation in Oloroso sherry casks.
The production process begins with the selection of the best types of barley, which are processed in the distillery's own malt house. Here the malt is treated with the utmost care in traditional malthouses to ensure the ideal properties for distillation. The mash is then fermented in fermentation tanks, which creates the characteristic aromas that characterize Balvenie.
