Balvenie 18 Years PX Sherry Butt Finish
The Balvenie 18 Years PX Sherry Butt Finish is an exquisite whisky that impresses with its unique maturation process. It is initially stored in selected American oak barrels, which give the distillate a wonderful base. These barrels are known for their ability to develop aromas of vanilla, caramel and a subtle spiciness that decisively shape the character of the whisky.
Following the first maturation, the Balvenie 18 years is refined in Pedro Ximenéz sherry butts. These special sherry casks are famous for their rich, sweet and fruity taste. Through this second maturation, the whisky takes on complex aromas of dried fruit, especially raisins and dried figs, as well as hints of dark chocolate and spices, resulting in a harmonious and complex taste profile.
