The Balvenie Curious Cask Collection is the result of the collaboration between Malt Master Kelsey McKechnie and Samples Coordinator George Paterson. With this special bottling, the two honor and celebrate their close partnership.
This exceptional single cask bottling matured for 12 years in a European oak cask previously filled with a rich, sweet wine from Montilla, Spain. Kelsey McKechnie personally selected the cask for this unique whisky. The single malt delights with candied sweetness, intense vanilla oak aroma, warm spice notes, and delicate fruity hints. Several such casks were bottled for various markets—always without chill filtration, without the addition of coloring, and in this case, at an alcohol content of 47.3% ABV.
