The Ardnahoe 5 Year Old Inaugural Release is an exclusive single malt whisky creation, sourced from a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-oloroso sherry casks and matured for five years. This exquisite whisky has been bottled at Ardnahoe's preferred alcohol content of 50.0%, with no artificial colouring or chill filtration to maintain the whisky's original quality and purity.
On the nose, the Ardnahoe 5 Years Inaugural Release offers a pleasant scent of shortbread, baked apples and Islay peat smoke - a perfect combination for whisky lovers. The first sip unfolds a rich taste experience characterized by vanilla cream, ginger, lemon peel and more baked apples. The long and smoky finish rounds off the taste experience and leaves an unforgettable impression on the tongue.
The cask selection is of great importance to ensure the quality and taste of the Ardnahoe 5 Years Inaugural Release. The bourbon casks come directly from the USA and are made from American white oak, while the Oloroso sherry casks come directly from Jerez and are made from European oak. This careful selection gives the whisky its unique and sophisticated flavor.
