Ardbeg Uigeadail
Ardbeg Uigeadail is a highly regarded whiskey that takes its name from the water source of the eponymous distillery in Scotland. Translated 'Uigeadail' means something like 'dark, mysterious place', which fits perfectly with this powerful and smoky single malt.
The whiskey is made from peated water sourced from Loch Uigeadail, giving it its signature smokiness. Aging in ex-Bourbon and Oloroso Sherry casks provides additional aromas of warm spices, raisins and sweetness.
However, what makes the Uigeadail truly unique is its vatting method. American oak ex-bourbon casks are combined with Oloroso sherry casks to achieve the perfect balance of smoky and sweet flavors.
