Ardbeg Heavy Vapours
Here we have a very interesting release from Ardbeg Distillery on Islay, it is 'Heavy Vapours'. With this experimental whisky , Ardbeg decided to remove the purifier during the distillation. The purifier is a copper kettle that captures the heaviest vapors during distillation and condenses them back into liquid (called reflux). The purifier keeps Ardbeg 's distillation well balanced, creating a harmony of delicate fruit flavors and subtle peat. But not this time, removing that process has created the strongest and most intense Ardbeg ever.
