Yamazaki Kogei Collection 2024
The Yamazaki Peated Malt Spanish Oak from the Kogei Collection is an exclusive Japanese single malt whisky that celebrates traditional Japanese craftsmanship. With an alcohol content of 43% ABV, this whisky was matured in Spanish oak casks, giving it a deep, dark amber color.
On the nose, gentle smoky notes unfold, accompanied by rich floral aromas reminiscent of bitter orange marmalade and dark chocolate. On the palate, a refined smokiness presents itself in harmony with a soft sweetness and a hint of citrus.
Released in 2024, this limited edition was created in collaboration with Chiso, a renowned kimono maker from Kyoto. The label and packaging were designed using traditional dyeing methods and gold thread art, symbolizing the connection between craftsmanship and whisky production.
