As much as we love single casks, making a blend is a lot of fun and the results can be truly amazing. Here's a prime example. For this blend, we used rums from three Jamaican powerhouses - Moneymusk, New Yarmouth and Long Pond. The youngest is Long Pond at 23 years old and it makes up about a third of the blend. The other two rums are much older.
This bears repeating: the youngest rum we have used is 23 years old!
- 40% Monymusk EMB 1995: 23 years tropical maturation and 6 years continental maturation
- 32% Long Pond LPS 2001: 23 years of continental maturation
- 28% New Yarmouth 1994: 24 years tropical maturation and 5 years continental maturation
