Wolfburn 10 Years Small Batch No. 416 Ruby Port Cask
Wolfburn Batch 416 is a small batch bottling that matured for 10 years entirely in Port Pipes. As early as 2016, high-quality Port casks from the Douro Valley in northern Portugal were filled with fresh distillate. The result is an elegant and expressive bottling with particular depth. The name Batch 416 refers to the storage location of the casks: Warehouse No. 4, Row 16.
Tasting Notes:
On the nose, ruby port notes, a delicate sea breeze, dried fruits, and dark cherry are apparent. On the palate, caramel and vanilla meet grapey aromas, delicate oak, dates, and figs. The finish is long and warming, with caramel, dried fruits, and persistent ruby port notes.
