Whiskey is religion! The first Scottish and Irish settlers in the USA used rye to distill their whiskey because barley did not cope with the climate in North America as hoped. The same climatic conditions also apply to Australia. Therefore, the basic idea of the first settlers was taken up again with the first Australian rye whiskey. The rye for The Gospel Straight Rye Whiskey comes 100% from a farm in Murray Mallee in south east Australia. This region is one of the driest growing regions of the driest continent in the world: Australia.

The flavor profile of Straight Rye Whiskey benefits from this harsh, difficult soil and climate on which the rye was grown. The rye defies the year-round sun with an intensity and variety of aromas that is second to none. After double distillation, the whiskey is stored in new, heavily charred American white oak casks from Missouri for at least three years. There is no cold filtration and no dyes are added. Scent/taste: Due to the rye from the Murray Mallee, the whiskey defies rye aromas. The sweet note of allspice is experienced in the initial taste, followed by cloves, dried red fruits and a pleasant note of caramel on the finish. The whiskey is perfect for cocktails like Manhattan, Old Fashioned and Sazerac. Also simply as a highball with a Premium Ginger Ale a real moment of pleasure.
