Templeton Midnight Rye
Templeton Midnight Rye combines American Rye Whiskey with a finely tuned proportion of dark Port wine. The rye matures in first-fill American oak barrels; subsequently, the Port wine complements the spicy rye profile with dark fruit and a fuller texture. The rye whiskey-based spirit is bottled at 45% ABV.
The aroma reveals dark cherries and figs, accompanied by finely spiced orange peel. On the palate, the composition is full-bodied and well-balanced. Cinnamon and clove meet dark chocolate, while the Port wine rounds out the characteristic rye spice with a fruity depth. The long finish retains dried fruit and oak, with a delicate accent of black pepper providing a spicy conclusion.
A unique interpretation of Rye Whiskey, where dark fruit, warm spices, and the rye foundation are intimately intertwined.
