The Tamdhu Cigar Malt Release No. 04 53.8% is a single malt whisky from Tamdhu from Speyside in Scotland.
With the Cigar Malt Release No. 04, Tamdhu presents the fourth edition of its powerfully sherry-influenced special release. The Speyside Single Malt matured exclusively in Oloroso sherry casks; a selected proportion of first-fill European oak casks provides additional depth and spice. It was bottled at 53.8% ABV, without coloring and without chill-filtration. The nose combines sticky ginger pudding and warm sherry oak. On the palate, crème brûlée and sherry-soaked plum crumble follow. Apricot, toasted almonds and a fine honeycomb sweetness characterize the long finish. Its full character was specifically developed as an accompaniment to a high-quality cigar, but also works as an intense soloist.
