Although Caldenby's focus is on whisky, he began collecting rum distillate or recently matured rum in barrels a few years ago - and finishing the sugar cane spirits for his Kinghaven series continentally in premium barrels. The Jamaica 2007/2022 C<>H comes from Caldenby's favorite distillery and was initially matured on site under tropical conditions. Caldenby refined the archetypal Jamaica rum with the popular Marque C<>H in a sherry cask - and deliciously illustrates the skills of both producers.
