Slyr's Bavarian Lakeside Edition 2024
The Slyrs Bavarian Lakeside Edition 2024 is a masterpiece of whisky art that has its origins in the idyllic setting of the Bavarian lake landscape. This limited edition represents the pursuit of the highest quality and craftsmanship excellence that characterizes whisky production in Bavaria.
The whisky was distilled in January 2015 using traditional methods, avoiding modern technology in order to preserve the authentic aromas. The resulting new make spirit was first matured in new American white oak barrels, which give the whisky a fine vanilla note and sweet notes. After 14 months, the whisky was transferred to carefully selected Oloroso barrels, where it was able to further develop its complex flavor nuances. The Oloroso barrels, which were previously filled with the fine sherry, make a decisive contribution to the aromatic depth and harmonious balance of the final product.
The whisky was first stored at the picturesque Schliersee, whose clear water and tranquil surroundings give it a special freshness. The whisky was then stored at the Chiemsee, where the gentle waves and unspoiled nature harmoniously support the maturation process.
