Robust Islay Whisky from a Wine Cask

BREDAG is part of the Scotch Universe collector's series. This eight-year-old Scotch Universe bottling was distilled in 2017 and bottled in 2026 at cask strength of 56.6% ABV. The maturation in a First Fill St. Estèphe Wine Barrique combines a heavily peated Islay profile with dark fruit aromas and spicy cask notes.

Aromas and Taste

On the nose, blackberry and cassis appear alongside cedarwood and black pepper. On the palate, ripe plums and mocha meet the dry structure of the wine cask. The long finish is characterized by tobacco and a spicy dryness.
