The Rhum Rhum PMG Liberation 2020 Full Proof is a premium Single Agricole Rhum made from the rare Rouge B47.259 sugar cane variety. This variety comes from the Antilles and has almost disappeared. The cane canes are cut by hand with traditional "coutelas" and transported on bull-drawn "cabroutets" to the distillery, where the freshly squeezed juice is not diluted to ensure an unadulterated taste. Fermentation takes place in open vats at a controlled temperature and lasts up to 5/6 days.
The Rhum Rhum PMG Liberation 2020 Full Proof is aged in steel barrels for a year after distillation to slowly reduce the alcohol content. It is then placed in French oak barrels that have already housed some of the best wines from France's greatest crus. This storage gives the Rhum Rhum PMG Liberation 2020 Full Proof its characteristic, complex aroma and rounds it off into a truly incomparable experience.
