Renegade Cane Rum Old Bacolet Pot Still
At Old Bacolet Farm, an extensive prospect of various cultivars of sugar cane stretches over nearly 25 acres. The land, which is close to the coast but far enough inland to have rich and moist soils, has been farmed since the 1800s. The occasional coconut, papaya, mango and other trees in and around the fields still show the fertile value of the land. The river running through Old Bacolet brings a cool breeze on its way to the sea.
Tasting Notes:
Clear, water-white, colorless rum. Gentle notes of caramel and vanilla. The rum has a strong spicy taste of cinnamon and cloves but with very smooth undertones of sweet toasted nuttiness that complement the spiciness and create a pleasant, dry and long-lasting finish.
