RA Trinidad Rum 22 years TDL
This rum was distilled in February 2001 and bottled in American oak casks in Trinidad. After 17 years of aging in the tropical conditions of Trinidad, it was shipped to Europe in February 2018. It will finally be bottled in July 2023. With an impressive alcohol strength of 67.1% vol, this rum reveals a fresh and fruity aroma immediately after pouring, accompanied by notes of gluten, menthol, mint and wood. It offers a pleasant blend of flavors.
After resting for a while, it remains fruity and intense. The alcohol is well balanced and a light aniseed note is added. With the first sip you can feel a slight burning sensation on the tongue, followed by aromas of mint, menthol, leather, herbs and oak - combined with an impressive fullness.
