When you talk about Barbados, you immediately think of miles of white sandy beaches, the Caribbean way of life and, of course, rum. And that's exactly how it should be... This rum was distilled in 2000 in the oldest documented distillery in the world, in a pot still . It matured in ex-bourbon casks in the tropical climate of Barbados for 6 years and was then imported to Europe.
Tasting Notes
Immediately after pouring, this rum exudes a multitude of aromas of spices, embedded in a fine sweetness with notes of peach and papaya. Elegant notes of vanilla, some oak and a subtle creaminess follow.
The rum presents itself nicely balanced on the nose. An impression that continues on the palate of the connoisseur. This rum is quite complex, but never overwhelming. It plays with sweetness and dryness, later the initial fruity notes are hardly present. The taste is long-lasting, accompanied by noble spices and beautifully integrated wood tones
