North British 30 Year Old Grainhound is a superb single grain Scotch whiskey distilled at the North British Distillery. It was distilled on 12/17/1992 and bottled on 06/22/2023. It was stored in a bourbon cask and then refined in a 1st fill PX sherry quarter cask. It has an ABV of 45.5% and has been aged for a total of 30 years.

A particularly interesting feature of the North British 30 Year Old Grainhound is its exceptional nose, which offers distinctive aromas. Flowery-grassy smells as well as spicy notes and lush sweetness of figs, dates and raisins unfold. Notes of sherry, tea & orange marmalade as well as caramel sweets complete the sensory experience. A hint of furniture polish blends harmoniously into the aromas of forest honey, herbs and a bouquet of dried flowers.

On the palate, the North British 30 Year Old Grainhound is a smooth, velvety single grain Scotch whiskey with a remarkably sweet note of dried fruit, chocolate candied oranges, rum-infused spice cake and honey. Its finish is medium-long and slightly dry, with orange zest, a hint of chocolate, a fine dark fruitiness and spicy wood notes.
